Isaiah 43:2 "When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flame will not consume you.” There are many lessons that I have learned since our kitchen caught fire in the middle of the night on May 31st, 2018, an hour after we finally put our 5 week old baby boy to sleep in his crib. I choose to share 4 of them on social media, because so many of you walked that road with us either through prayer, material/financial giving, or emotional support. I want you to know what the Lord has taught me, and hope readers will be blessed though them. Lesson 1-“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21. The most apparent lesson that we tried to remind ourselves of from midnight on May 31 st , was this scripture.
